After a very long winter, spring is in the air and we are busy getting everything ready to welcome you back to The Ram and to Firle.  On 12th April 2021 we will be opening all outside areas.

The Ram beach (at the front of the pub) is a well known spot for watching the world not go by! There’s a beautiful view past the cottages and up to the downs. Bordered by the front of the pub and the stable buildings, the old walls warm up and it’s a sheltered sun trap. We’ll be opening the outdoor Farmers’ Bar and we have an area set aside for those who would just like a pint or a glass of wine.

We’ve taken over the parking spaces (please park in the village car park), replaced the picnic benches with proper tables and chairs and we’ll be offering a full menu all day from breakfast through to lunch and dinner. Our famous roasts will be available every Sunday. We have awnings and large parasols for protection from the elements and wood burners & blankets will help to keep you warm and cosy.

The orchard garden and kitchen at the back of the pub will be open at weekends cooking fish & seafood in our woodfired oven as well as flatbreads and freshly cooked pizzas for the children. Fingers crossed for some lovely weather!

We can take bookings of up to 6 people from mixed households or  only 2 households if there are more than 6 of you. We’ll continue with our enhanced cleaning schedule and social distancing to keep everyone safe. Please respect social distancing around the village too.

Look out for news of our newly refurbished bedrooms when we are allowed to open inside (hopefully) on 17th May 2021.
